🏨 Where to Stay
Past Participants’ Recommendations:
- Olyver Hotel - Formerly New Seoul Hotel: This seems to be the top recommendation of past seminar participants. 24-hour free parking with a security guard, breakfast included, korean massage nearby. The list goes on!
- Hotel Normandie: A highly recommended option by past campers! It’s a cozy, affordable spot that’s close to the dojo.
- 8th & Ardmore Hostel: A budget-friendly choice with a great community vibe. Perfect if you’re looking to meet other attendees and keep costs down.
Guidelines:
West of the dojo: We recommend staying around Wilshire Ave, between Normandie Ave. and Western Ave. This area has great hotels and is just a short distance from the dojo.
Avoid the area east of the dojo: It’s not the safest area, so please stay west if possible.
đźš—Â Pro Tip: Traffic in Los Angeles can be a bit tricky, so be mindful of commute times.
Here are some great resources to help you find a place to stay:
Meals
New Year's seminar
Friday after class
Some of our students have graciously volunteered to organize dinner delivery to the dojo as part of our ongoing dojo fundraising. In the past, we've done pasta and pizza. They ask that you kindly make a donation to the dojo.
During the checkout process, you were prompted to let us know if you'll be joining us and what, if any, dietary preferences you have.
We'll also have alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available from our dojo fridge.
Donations can be made via:
- Cash donation box in the dojo
- Online
- Look for the QR code in the dojo or...
Saturday Lunch
Saturday lunch is included with your seminar registration. This year, once again, some of our students have generously offered to sponsor lunch!
Of course, if you prefer, feel free to bring your own food and drink. Or for that matter, feel free to venture out on the Los Angeles restaurant scene on your own.
